A joint working group of the Council of Ministers and the German NGO Konrad Adenauer Foundation met for the second time Thursday to discuss public administration reform.
The group discussed the first draft of a recently completed study by the foundation on changing government structures and procedures. Peter Koeppinger, country representative for the foundation, said among the reforms are the clarification of the Council of Ministers’ responsibilities and strengthening the responsibilities and capabilities of various ministries.
As part of the foundation’s reform program, Sok An, the government’s chief of cabinet, will travel in December to Germany for a one-week study visit of that country’s decentralized state structures and administrative procedures, Koeppinger said.
