World’s largest sticky rice cake, move over. According to opposition leader Sam Rainsy, Cambodia may have a new claim to fame in the Guinness World Records.
Mr. Rainsy, who was expelled from parliament last week, said in an email on Saturday he was looking into the possibility of claiming the record for the world’s most ousted parliamentarian—having been banished by fellow lawmakers four times over the past 20 years.
“I have not submitted this as a record to Guinness yet but may consider to do so—for fun—to show that Cambodia has been following a very strange path to…a fake and clownesque democracy,” Mr. Rainsy said.
In April, Cambodia set the record for the largest sticky rice cake with a monstrosity weighing 4 tons.
