Vietnam delivered a perfect start to their campaign at the 2019 AFF Women’s Championship as they demolish Cambodia with ten unanswered goals in their Group B opener on August 16.
Mai Duc Chung’s side dominated from the outset, needing only seven minutes to take a three-goal lead with a brace from striker Huynh Nhu (3’, 7’) and an own goal by Sen Sreyneat (4’).
Cambodia, who are attending the regional tournament for the second time, clearly showed a lack of experience and almost made no reply to Vietnam’s stormy offence.
