Vietnam head coach Park Hang-seo said the Saturday clash against Cambodia will be very significant and difficult for his side, while addressing a press conference held on December 6 prior to the 2019 SEA Games men’s football semifinals.
Vietnam made the last four in the Philippines after an amazing unbeaten group-stage run, including four wins and one draw against Thailand, sent them through as the Group B winners. Meanwhile, Cambodia produced a big surprise in this year’s SEA Games by qualifying for the semis as the runners-up in Group A.
“Tomorrow’s match is significant because a victory will lift us through to the title decider. But it also promises to be a tough game, as Cambodia played a clash fewer and had one day off more than Vietnam. We are disadvantageous in terms of fitness. So, we have to fight with a strong spirit,” Park told reporters.
