Vietnam-Cambodia friendship monument inaugurated in Banteay Meanchay

The Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Monument was officially inaugurated in Sisophone city, Banteay Meanchay province, Cambodia, on April 27.

Covering an area of nearly 5,000 square metres, the monument is the 15th of its kind in Camodia.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Nhem Valy, Secretary of State at the Cambodia Ministry of Cults and Religion and Standing Vice Chairman cum Secretary General of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodian Motherland, recalled the great significance of the victory against the Pol Pot regimeon January 7, 1979.
