Garcia becomes Long Beach’s first sitting mayor to visit Cambodia

Long Beach has long been home to the world’s largest Cambodian population outside of Cambodia, but it wasn’t until last week that a sitting mayor visited the Southeast Asian country.

Mayor Robert Garcia joined a delegation from the Port of Long Beach to Cambodia on Saturday, Jan. 26, becoming the city’s first mayor to take on the journey as an elected official.
