Cambodia, Vietnam sign 5 pacts to boost relations

Cambodia and Vietnam on Tuesday signed five cooperation documents to boost bilateral ties and cooperation between the two neighboring countries, according to a joint communique.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and visiting Vietnamese President Nguyen Phu Trong witnessed the signing ceremony of the documents after their bilateral meeting at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

The pacts were focused on connectivity by land and water, trade facilitation, tourism promotion, and Vietnam’s 25 million U.S. dollars grant aid for the construction of a Cambodian parliament’s administration building, the joint communique said.
