The number of containers passing through Cambodia’s Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS) in the third quarter (Q3) this year reached 283,918 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs)—a 36.56-per cent increase year on year (YoY).
The port earned revenues worth 120 billion riel (~$30 million) in the quarter—a YoY increase of 27 per cent.
This implies the port company’s YoY rise in revenue in the quarter was less than the rise in TEU throughput, although it has reduced its net loss, the PAS Q3 2024 report said.
