Award-winning journalist Mech Dara, known for his fearless investigations of human trafficking and cybercrimes in Cambodia, sits in a crowded prison cell, his spirit unbroken.
A friend visited Dara, 36, at Kandal Provincial Prison, 10 kilometers from Phnom Penh, bringing him food, clothes and medicine.
The friend, who spoke on condition of anonymity for safety reasons, said Dara remained in high spirits and was grateful for the support from his friends and the public.
