Cyber Gang Kingpin Trained By Chinese Experts In Cambodia, Had Pakistani ‘Handler’

The alleged gang was operating from a hotel in Haryana’s Gurugram and allegedly extorted over Rs 100 crore from more than 100 victims while posing as CBI and narcotics officials.

The alleged kingpin of an international cybercrime gang, who was recently arrested by the Uttar Pradesh special task force, has told police how he was trained by Chinese experts in online fraud when he went to Cambodia to be a part of this network.

He not only revealed his links to a Chinese gang but also with a Pakistani associate. “I went to Cambodia where I joined the international cybercrime network. Before going, I got in touch with a Pakistani friend, who got me connected to a Chinese gang of cyber frauds in Cambodia where I was given specialised training to carry out cyber frauds in India,” Pankaj Surela told police.
