Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has approved changes to the visiting hours of temples in Siem Reap province, particularly for watching sunrises and sunsets at the Angkor Wat, Phnom Bakheng, Pre Rup and Phnom Krom temples.
The PM announced his decision during a speech on “One Year Achievement of the Royal Government of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly of Cambodia” (August 22, 2023 to August 22, 2024)” on Thursday evening.
The PM stated “Therefore, after the discussion of the Ministry of Culture, I have agreed to change [opening hours], including: Angkor Wat, open from 5am, close at 6pm.
