Cambodian garments-footwear-travel goods exports up 17% YoY in H1 2024

Exports of knitted apparel and clothing accessories rose by 13 per cent YoY to $2.79 billion; those of non-knitted apparel grew by 30.1-per cent YoY to $1.53 billion.

Cambodia’s exports of garments, footwear and travel goods (GFT) increased by 16.89 per cent year on year (YoY) in the first half (H1) this year to $6.15 billion, according to fresh data released by the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE).

In June alone, such exports earned $1.26 billion—a rise of 4.21 per cent YoY.

Exports of knitted apparel articles and clothing accessories earned $2.79 billion during the six-month period—a growth of 13 per cent YoY, while those of non-knitted apparel items brought in $1.53 billion—a growth of 30.1 per cent YoY.
