At least two people were injured in a bus explosion at a parking lot in front of the famed Angkor Wat temple in northwest Cambodia’s Siem Reap province on Tuesday (March 5), a police chief said.
The blast occurred at around 5.30am local time, and a bus engine fault was likely to blame for the incident, Siem Reap provincial police chief Major General Teng Channath said.
“According to our preliminary investigation, a bus’s engine accidentally exploded, leaving two people injured — one slightly injured and another seriously wounded,” he told Xinhua via telephone.
