Cambodia’s central bank and Malaysia’s Maybank will work together to enable real-time cross-border transfers, payments and remittances between the two countries.
The NBC (National Bank of Cambodia) and Maybank have announced the signing of an MoU to promote collaboration in cross border payments and remittances between Cambodia and Malaysia.
Under the agreement, NBC, Maybank Cambodia and Maybank Malaysia will work together to explore the possibility of enabling real-time transfers, payments and cross-border remittances between the two countries using NBC’s ‘Bakong’ payment system and Maybank’s ‘Maybank2u’ digital platform.
