Victory skipper Valeri fine with Honda’s Cambodia trip

A packed schedule looms for Melbourne Victory, with plenty of time spent on the road, including successive games against league leaders Perth Glory this Saturday and title challengers Sydney FC seven days later.

Victory must also travel to China to take on Guangzhou Evergrande in a must-win Asian Champions League clash in between times.

So it might seem strange that the club’s key player, marquee man and biggest asset, Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda, has not been around to train and prepare with the team for the challenges ahead – and will not arrive in Western Australia until Friday.
