Rohingya Repatriation: Bangladesh seeks Cambodia’s support

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has laid emphasis on a peaceful solution to the Rohingya crisis as Bangladesh seeks Cambodia’s support for early repatriation of the forcibly-displaced Myanmar nationals temporarily sheltered in Bangladesh.

Chair of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Faruk Khan, met the Cambodian Prime Minister at Peace Palace in Phnom Penh yesterday afternoon to seek support for the early repatriation of Rohingyas.

He also highlighted the negative consequences of the prolonged stay of Rohingyas in Bangladesh and the Asean countries and beyond, according to the ministry of foreign affairs.
