Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will pay a two-day official visit to China this week where he will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, China’s foreign ministry announced on Monday.

The trip from Thursday will be Hun Manet’s first bilateral visit and one of his first overseas trips since becoming prime minister in August. He attended the gathering of Asean leaders in Jakarta last week.
“It reflects the great importance that the new Cambodian government attaches to the development of China-Cambodia relations,” Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said.
