Cambodia’s new law could relax politician ban

Cambodia’s parliament has passed legislation that could pave the way for lifting a ban on political activity by opposition politicians.

The National Assembly unanimously passed an amendment to the Political Party Law on Thursday. It will allow people to resume political activity after requests are sent to the prime minister for approval from the king.
