Cambodia to hold twice-postponed ASEM summit in November

Cambodia will host the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting on Nov. 25 and 26 in Phnom Penh, after the gathering was postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday.

Luy David, secretary of state of Cambodia’s Foreign Ministry, who co-chairs the ASEM coordinating committee, said in a press statement that the new date was set by Prime Minister Hun Sen and agreed upon by all respective countries.

He said while a face-to-face meeting is planned, it will depend on the pandemic situation.
