Cambodia has renewed calls for the arrest of veteran opposition chief Sam Rainsy amid the threat of sanctions by the European Union over human rights concerns.
The EU is Cambodia’s biggest garment export market worth billions of euros a year.
Sam Rainsy’s opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) was dissolved by the Supreme Court in 2017 and 118 CNRP members were banned from politics ahead of the 2018 general election.
