Cambodia prominent lawyer’s treason conviction ‘a sham’

A Cambodian court has convicted a prominent lawyer of treason. The Cambodian-American was charged in connection with the failed attempt by opposition figure Sam Rainsy to return from exile in 2019. Before her conviction, Theary Seng told reporters she considered the proceedings a “sham”.
