A sacred statue of a cow was discovered on an ancient hill in Preah Vihear province on Saturday and is now being kept at a local museum.
A local villager, Leak Socheat, 32, from Choam Ksan district’s Yeang commune found the statue of Preah Ko (Holy Cow) and handed it to archaeologists.
According to Prak Sovannara, the director-general of the culture ministry’s heritage department, the statue was given to experts in Preah Vihear on Sunday.
