A 46-year-old Russian national arrested in Siem Reap City this week on suspicion of paying three underage girls for sex and filming them admitted to the crime during questioning by police Thursday, a police official said.
“Tikhonov Dimirovich confessed to police that he paid the girls between $20 and $100 for sex,” said deputy provincial anti-human trafficking police chief Chea Heng.
Mr. Dimirovich was arrested at his house in Kokchak commune at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday after one of the girls’ mothers filed a complaint with police earlier this month, according to Mr. Heng.
A 14-year-old girl was found at his home during the arrest, but a subsequent medical examination determined that she was still a virgin, he said.
Mr. Heng said police also had evidence that Mr. Dimirovich had sex with two 15-year-olds.
“There were three underage girls, two of them are 15 years old and lost their virginity…only one girl whose age is 14 is still a virgin, according to the doctor,” he said.
Mr. Heng said Mr. Dimirovich would be sent to the provincial court Friday.
