RCAF Members Arrested For Trafficking Wood

Two Royal Cambodian Armed Forces soldiers were arrested on Monday while smuggling luxury wood in Kompong Thom province, military police said Tuesday.

Khun Bunhuo, Baray district military police commander, said the two suspects were found with about 1.5 cubic meters of Neang Nuon wood inside a vehicle with RCAF license plates on Monday.

“Our force cooperated with the Forestry Administration to arrest them,” he said.

Captain Van Rin and his driver, Lon Nin, were arrested and brought to the provincial Forestry Administration office for questioning.

The wood was confiscated and brought to the Kompong Thma Forestry Administration division.
