‘My boy’s coming home’ Mum’s joy after Scottish stroke victim rescued from Cambodian hospital hell

Charles McLaughlin was abandoned by the Tory Government to die in a foreign hospital but is now set to be flown back to the UK.

The mum of a Scots stroke victim abandoned by the Tory Government to die in a foreign hospital has told of her joy after it was revealed he is to be flown home.

The Record reported last week that Charles McLaughlin’s mother Esther feared her son only had days to live after being left fighting for survival in a Cambodian hospital.

But now aid group SOS International have provided an air ambulance to fly Charles from Cambodia to Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, where medics are now working to stabilise him before he returns to the UK on a commercial flight.
