Investment laws, legal research and environmental protection are among the topics being addressed during a conference on legal and judicial reform this week at the Council for the Development of Cambodia.
The three-day conference, organized by the CDC and the government, started Monday and has scheduled presentations by representatives from several ministries, including Justice, Commerce and Finance, as well as international NGOs.
Speakers scheduled for today include Justice Minister Chem Snguon, on judicial training and court reform; and Council of Ministers Secretary of State Sum Manith, on access to information on laws and regulations.
Paul Matthews, resident representative of the UN Development Program, will chair a Wednesday discussion on tourism promotion and environmental protection.
