Japan has called on Cambodia to ensure its general election is held in a manner that reflects the will of the people. The country under the government of Prime Minister Hun Sen goes to the polls in July.
Officials from the 2 governments met on Friday in Phnom Penh. They discussed Cambodia’s human rights situation. Japan has long provided Cambodia with support for democratization.
