I feel greatly regretful and disappointed after having seen an article in The Cambodia Daily dated May 11, 2016 with the headline “PM Bans Color-Coordinated Demonstrations.”

Such a headline clearly shows an intention to confuse and incite national and international public opinion to misunderstand the speech by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, during a graduation ceremony at Vanda Accounting University on May 10, 2016. Samdech Techo said, “It does not matter what color you are—I told Samdech Sar Kheng and other leaders not to care about color. Whatever color you are, if you commit a wrong, arrest them all. Some places, it is called orange. Some is called red. Some is called black. I say whatever color you are, if [you] commit a wrong, arrest them all. The court is created to enforce the law. The armed forces are established to defend the state. The prison is built to jail prisoners. Please don’t be wondering too much.”
That The Cambodia Daily writes such a headline and publishes it in distorted fashion, contrary to the truth, tramples on the journalistic profession and could be an instigation to stoke the people’s anger inside and outside of the country to act against the very correct leadership of the Royal Government.
