A programme to provide free health examinations and gifts to local Vietnamese people in border district of Moc Hoa, in Long An province, and Cambodian people in Chantrea district, Svay Rieng province, was held on April 29 in the presence of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.
Addressing the event, Deputy PM Binh said that Moc Hoa is a land rich in revolutionary tradition during the years of struggling for national liberation but the lives of local residents continue to face difficulties, particularly in the three communes of Binh Thanh, Binh Hoa Tay and Binh Hoa Dong.
He noted that the rate of poor households in border communes is still high, thus, providing care for local residents is a meaningful and humane activity.
