28 years ago, on October 3rd, 1990, German reunification, following the fall of the Berlin Wall, marked the end of the long and painful division of our country.
Today, we look at a world in which new walls arise and social divides deepen. From our history we know: Walls are no solution, neither the ones made of concrete nor the ones in people’s minds.
It is the spirit of dialogue and openness that fosters progress, growth and prosperity. This, both Cambodia and Germany have learned from their recent history. Both countries have embraced international responsibility and a true commitment to multilateralism.
