The Agence Francaise de Developpement, a French government agency, has granted a $3.65 million loan package to strengthen Cambodia’s microfinancing activities.
Prime Minister Hun Sen presided Friday at a signing ceremony between visiting AFD Chief Executive Officer Antoine Pouillieute and acting Finance Minister Ouk Rabun at the Council of Ministers.
The money will be used to support the National Bank of Cambodia and strengthen activities of the Rural Development Bank.

AFD has granted more than $48 million, in 30 projects focusing on rural development and Siem Reap’s regional development, according to the statement.
