First holders of new visa hard at work, but hope to find time for fun

Gobo, Wakayama Prefecture – The first foreign nationals to be granted the new specified skills visa hope the next few years in Japan will not be all work and no play.

While Cambodians Sot Pheavy, 28, and Buo Volak, 21, are busy improving their farming skills at a farm here, the women say they also intend to have some fun.

On a recent day, they were hard at work harvesting onions.
