Cambodia and China have held their first-ever joint naval exercises in Cambodian waters. They were part of annual drills between the countries.

The joint drills officially kicked off on Thursday with an opening ceremony at a training center in the central province of Kampong Chhnang. This marks the fifth drill since 2016.
