DEPUTY EDITOR
Location: Phnom Penh

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years experience as a news editor
Daily reporting and writing experience
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Talent for developing and editing news, features and analysis
Ability to work equally well with novice and experienced reporters
Comfortable working with people who speak limited English
Experience doing journalism in the developing world and familiarity with Cambodia are preferred
Duties
Work with a small team of editors to ensure all stories are accurate, interesting and well-structured
Manage reporters to make sure they are generating daily stories and scoops
Make sure that stories and photographs are filed on deadline
Generate stories that move beyond daily news
Collaborate with reporters on features and investigations
Identify breaking news stories or other stories that will generate online traffic
Collaborate with our online editor to expand our web presence and online following
