Debate grows over bid to rename Lowell park

For years, members of the Cambodian community have gathered in the park near the intersection of Middlesex and Branch streets for community festivals and games of volleyball or bocce.

To this community, it’s Pailin Park, named after a city in Cambodia known for its “diamonds and emeralds.”
