A two-member Cuban delegation is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Hun Sen today as part of a visit to strengthen bilateral relations between Cuba and Cambodia, Chum Sounry, director of the press department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Monday.
Jose Armando Guerra Menchero, deputy minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Cuba, and the director-general of the Cuban ministry arrived in Cambodia on Saturday for a four-day visit. On Monday, the delegation met Uch Kim An, secretary of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In September, Hun Sen met Cuban President Fidel Castro as part of a week-long visit to the communist island.
Cambodia and Cuba are former Cold War allies.
