Three young children were drowned in a sand-dredging pit on the southern outskirts of Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, according to a national police’s report on Saturday (May 9).
The accident occurred in the late afternoon of Friday in Meanchey district when they got into the water to take a bath without an adult’s presence.
The victims were identified as a 5-year-old girl and her 4-year-old brother as well as a 3-year-old girl, the police said.
