Contractor to Support US Navy in Cambodia

U.S.-based private military contractor DynCorp International (D.I.) announced Wednesday it was awarded an $8.5 million one-year contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command-Pacific (NAVFAC-Pacific) to provide operations support services in Cambodia, according to a statement on the company’s website.

“Under the contract, D.I. will provide various support services to the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) while conducting humanitarian assistance construction projects located at various provinces in Cambodia,” the statement says.

It goes on to say that the contract includes “four, one-year options” for a total value of $8.5 million, but does not specify what support D.I. will give to NAVFAC-Pacific in Cambodia.

The U.S. Embassy did not respond to a request for comment Wednesday.

Based in Virginia, D.I. provides aviation, logistics, training, intelligence and operational solutions to commercial and government institutions around the world.
