Cambodia’s disaster control agency, UN’s World Food Programme sign 5-year partnership deal

Cambodia’s National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) signed on Wednesday a five-year partnership agreement for joint activities on crisis management and disaster risk reduction in the country.

The deal was inked here between NCDM’s first vice president Kun Kim and WFP country director for Cambodia Francesca Erdelmann.

Kim said NCDM will take all necessary actions to effectively embed the activities covered under this agreement within the implementation of the National Action Plan for Disaster Risk Reduction 2019-2023.
