Cambodian Puong and Frenchman Veronique win at Ultra Trail of Angkor marathon

Cambodia’s Puong Jean-luc and Frenchwoman Messina Veronique won the sixth Ultra Trail of Angkor 100km challenge, which was held at the famed Angkor archaeological park here on Saturday.

This event was organized by the Sports Development and Performance Organization (SDPO) in partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).

Some 1,000 runners from 43 countries and regions took part in the event, which was classified into various types of races: the 100-km Angkor Ultra Trail, 64-km Bayon Trail, 42-km Marathon Trail, 32-km Jungle Trail, 16-km Temple Run, 8-km Angkor Elephant Trail, and 5-km Humanitarian Walk around Bayon Temple.
