The customs officers of Vietnam’s southern Tay Ninh province have seized 5 kg of synthetic drugs from a Cambodian woman, Vietnam News Agency reported on Tuesday.
Customs officers at Moc Bai international border gate in Vietnam’s southern Tay Ninh province have detected 5 kg of synthetic drugs hidden in the suitcase of the 26-year-old woman named Miech Sreyneang from neighboring Cambodia’s Phnom Penh city while examining and scanning the luggage upon her entry.
According to the Vietnamese law, those convicted of smuggling over 600 grams of heroin or more than 2.5 kg of methamphetamine are punishable by death. Making or trading 100 grams of heroin or 300 grams of other illegal drugs also faces death penalty.
