Cambodia sees rise in crackdowns on human, sex trafficking crimes in H1

Phnom Penh – Cambodia has seen a 25.8 percent increase in crackdowns on human and sex trafficking crimes in the first half of 2019, the National Police said on Tuesday.

The authorities had foiled 78 human and sex trafficking-related cases during the January-June period this year, up 25.8 percent from 62 over the same period last year, the National Police said on its website, citing a National Committee for Counter-Trafficking (NCCT)’s report.
