Cambodia says Nepalese man tests positive for COVID-19 after 2 weeks in quarantine

Cambodia’s Ministry of Health said in a statement on Wednesday that a Nepalese man tested positive for the COVID-19 after having been in a quarantine facility for two weeks since his arrival in the country.

The 37-year-old man, who works for an international organization, landed in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, on Nov. 11 from Nepal via connecting flights in Doha and South Korea, respectively, the statement said.

It added that the man, upon his arrival, tested negative for the virus and had been required to quarantine for 14 days at a hotel in the capital.
