Cambodia arrests 30 undocumented Vietnamese nationals

Cambodian police have arrested 30 illegal Vietnamese immigrants including eight women during a raid on a hotel in northwestern Siem Reap province, the National Police reported on Sunday (July 26).

“They were detained on Saturday for entering and living in Cambodia illegally,” the National Police said on its website, adding that the group was sent to the provincial deportation centre for next legal procedures.

Under the kingdom’s immigration law, any alien living in Cambodia without valid documents such as passports, visas, or work permits are subject to deportation.
