A grenade attack killed two men and injured 14 people at a Siem Reap town brothel Thursday, police officials confirmed Sunday.
Motorbike-taxi driver Sam Sen, 28, and Nam Bros, 27, a customer at the brothel, died when a Russian made grenade was lobbed into the establishment in Slor Kroum commune, according to Brak Chanthoeun, the province’s deputy military police chief.
Six of the wounded received serious injuries in the 10 pm attack that followed an argument between a customer and the brothel owner over a prostitute.
“The customer loved one of the prostitutes and wanted her to come to a hotel with him but the brothel owner would not allow it,” said Brak Chanthoeun.
Keng Sum, judicial police chief for Siem Reap province, said Sunday that a suspect was arrested and is being held in custody at police headquarters.
