British teacher lucky to be alive after petrol station explosion in Cambodia

Two young teachers had a brush with death after being caught in a petrol station explosion.

Zoe Eleftheriou, 22 was riding on a moped with a friend when the garage burst into flames and blew them from their bike.

The English teacher was covered in burns and suffered severe facial bruises in the blast, which killed three and injured a dozen more.

Friend Abbey Alexander, 18, was also hospitalised and the pair faced medical bills reaching six figures each.
