In a likely effort to quash rumors that Prime Minister Hun Sen on Friday suffered a severe stroke and been rushed for treatment in Singapore, government-aligned news website Cambodia Express News on Monday published photos of Mr. Hun Sen meeting with a former Singaporean official Monday morning in Phnom Penh.
“On Monday morning, Prime Minister Hun Sen met with Mr. George Yong Boon Yeo, the former foreign minister of Singapore and currently an executive of a company named Kerry Logistics, at the…Peace Palace at the Council of Ministers in Phnom Penh,” reads the accompanying article.
According to the article, Mr. Hun Sen’s assistant Eang Sophalleth said that Mr. Hun Sen and Mr. Yeo discussed future development in Cambodia.
