The body of a U.S. citizen who was strangled to death was found in a garbage pile early Wednesday morning in Phnom Penh’s Prek Pnov district.
At about 5 a.m., a 12-year-old boy found William Glenn, a 44-year-old English teacher, wrapped in a yellow curtain fastened with duct tape. Police said his body had bruises consistent with a beating and strangulation.
“According to the doctor, the man was strangled until he was dead,” said Suon Samoeun, Kok Roka commune police chief.
