An HIV-infected man seriously injured himself and three others when he lobbed two grenades he planned to use for his own suicide at military police Saturday on Pochentong Road.
Kuch Ouch, 28, threw the grenades after he encountered an illegal weapons checkpoint, Mom Saveth, Dangkao district police chief, said Sunday.
A military police officer, a teacher and a student were injured. Kuch Ouch refused to stop his motorcycle at the weapons checkpoint and threw the grenades when police gave chase.
Mom Saveth said Kuch Ouch was carrying the grenades to kill himself because he was depressed after recently discovering he was suffering from HIV.
The injured were brought to Kossamak Hospital.
