The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Monday launched the UNDP Accelerator Labs in Cambodia, it said in an announcement on Tuesday (Jan 21).
The labs are housed in UNDP’s office based in Phnom Penh, the press release said, adding that the labs aim at addressing some of the most pressing issues facing Cambodia such as circular economy, youth employment, and climate change.
“Our current and first intervention is addressing the plastic waste issue by exploring and testing alternative straws that might be able to replace the plastic one,” it said.
